Overdue

No, I am not overdue...this post is.  Jake Robert Phillips was born on May 1st, 2012 at 2:50pm. He was 7lbs 8oz and was 20" long.  He spent about 24 hours with us before he was taken to the NICU to receive IV antibiotics for a possible infection.  Luckily, the antibiotics worked and he never got sick.  He spent 5 days in the NICU which was very hard on us, especially on momma.  I was up and down from the maternity floor and then back and forth from home to spend as much time with him and we could and to breastfeed him as much as possible.  It was rough, both physically and emotionally but the 5 days came and went and Jake came home with us on Monday, June 7th.  He is such a sweet and handsome baby.  He hardly cries and makes some many amazing faces. I cannot describe how truly blessed we feel.  I am just so in love with him.
